Courting the fascist vote.
Apparently House Republicans have become more desperate in their drive to hold off this fall's apocalypse. Seeking to retain those fascist sitting on the fence this year (the new soccer moms?) Curt Weldon is proposing to place final withdrawal from Iraq entirely within the hands of the armed forces. Particularly troubling:
military commanders should put in place a system of criteria to assess the capability of Iraqi security forces. Once those criteria are met, the mission in Iraq would be considered complete and the president could begin withdrawing troops.
No wonder Democrats think we're slow witted.
